About the Event

Come and learn the fundamentals of women's self-defense by martial arts trainer Roger Tolentino. The class will be discussion-based and hands-on techniques.

You will learn:

  • Situational Awareness – how to observe and use your surroundings to your benefit
  • Techniques that are easy to remember for a quick “get away”
  • Appropriate “tools” that can be used to assist in self-defense (i.e. how keys do not work!)
  • Q&A on any real-life scenarios that group members care to share and how to get out of it

Roger has been doing martial arts since the age of 5. He studied and mastered the arts of Escrima/Kali stick fighting, Shaolin Kung Fu, Hung-ga Hung-Fu, Hapkido, Aikido, Thai boxing, Ninjutsu, and Qigang/ Dim Mak. From his experiences with learning these various techniques, he dedicated himself to teaching others how to use what works for them to defend and protect themselves and their loved ones.

Note: The age limit is 16. There is a consent form that each individual will need to sign and minors (under 18 yrs.) will need parent/ guardian signatures to participate.
